Front page for a rerun of Pin Drop which starts on a new ComicFury website tomorrow.
I drew this 100% digitally today, using Sketchbook Pro and Photoshop.

There are some things I like about this drawing, and some that I intensely dislike. It’s not very dynamic, but I like how compared to the story these characters were in, both “Adam” and “Eve” look a lot more like people you could actually recognise if you saw them in the streets (they’d be the naked people with the long tails, natch, but look at their faces). I like how it mixes the way a Renaissance painter would place the characters with a cartoony style and the bright colours that I use in Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan and that I now think of as distinctively mine.

On the other hand, it serves as a reminder that m graphic design skills are poor, and working with type in particular is something I’m thoroughly incompetent at. If I’m ever bringing this material back to print or to eBooks that people pay money for, I need to work with a graphic designer, no ifs or buts about it.

The image itself is a good rendering of a classic image... the tails however gives me psyrealistic vibes every time I watch it! :o

Why the long Tails? Are they an alien race, ie. "AVATAR"? :?

It's from a comic story called "When We Had Tails". I'm rerunning it on ComicFury as part of a series of wordless comics, and as it happens, Tails starts today [link].

Hmm, I remember see that same comic a looooong time ago on some random art comic site thingy.

How odd. ;)

It's been everywhere over the years. Had multiple dead-tree publications as well, in Canada and Italy as well as the Netherlands and Belgium (iirc).

Yeesh, that's a lot of web homes for a short comic.

Totally get the feel of renaissance or even medieval vibe of composition. And the nice cartooning looks hand-drawn and not digital at all. Looking forward to reading it.
