Page from the webcomic Spun Off. This one gave me soooo much trouble, but here it is: a comic penciled and shaded in Sketchbook Pro with post-processing in Photoshop and no traditional work visible on the page at all (though it was thumbnailed and scripted on paper). There's a lot still wrong with it and I do need to re-learn to keep my characters on-model, but I got it to the point where it was presentable. I did have to add a fake paper texture and lots of noise to prevent it from looking too slick. I will do more of this until Caravan season starts. While I am even slower with digital than on paper, I do find it easier to set aside time for digital work when at home. Something about me being able to stare at a screen with headphones blocking all outside noise and a single drawing tool in my hand, as opposed to having to sit at a table with sheets of paper and a variety of tools all laid out.
I think you've found a nice style with this one... its still close to the style of the pencil, yet its something new that fits pretty well with the comic. Perhaps a tad bit dark in appearence?
