The state of things

I've been keeping a bit of a radio silence here for the past two weeks or so. Things are actually moving ahead now with the Feral redraw. A little slower than I would have liked, but at least I'm unlikely now to have the whole update challenge come crashing down on me in the first week of deadlines (September 19-26). There are four pages drawn and scanned; one of those is partly colored, one is being inked right now, and two will need a bit of digital correction before I ink them. So that's the first two weeks largely covered, though not, by a long mile, in the bag. Give me another few weekends, though, and they will be. And then there'll be 15, maybe 16 more updates to go.

Just over a week after her surgery, skycladstrega took a fall as we got out of a movie theater, spraining both her ankles. Her recovery has been slow and that has meant a lot of extra long walks with the dogs and a lot of fetching stuff and running errands for me. It's been no picknick for her either, because a double sprain is both painful and disabling. This is now also improving at last, just in time for her to go back to university next week. 

I've been thinking, on and off, about the projects I want to start but don't have time for. Maybe I'll get around to at least some of them next year. If only I was the super-fast (if often super-sloppy) artist I was twenty years ago!
